The owner grew up going to Elie for holidays and used to dream of owning Beach Cottage whenever she passed it.  After more than three years of looking for a holiday house in the village, Beach Cottage (or Sandford Cottage as it was called then) came on the market and she snapped it up.  It had been neglected for years and was a labour of love (renovation nightmare!) with the cottage literally falling down around her (one external wall did actually collapse).

Two years later the cottage was completely modernised internally and extended out the back to make the master bedroom and en-suite.

The owner is a lover of art and design, and the cottage is full of artwork from as far afield as Australia, where the owner lived for 9 years, as well as many pieces of art from local Scottish artists.  She hopes her guests enjoy Beach Cottage as much as she does.
